Like man, Breath of Fire II, it makes me sad for three reasons - It's a goddamn feels trip, especially near the end. Secondly: Nostaligaaa. And the third is pretty much also nostalgia, but I used to play it with my brother when he babysat me when i was young and my parents gone, and now we're older and stuff and he's moved to the other side of the country so I barely see him nowadays, so it reminds me of back in the day

I should mention it's VERY easy to make me feel things or get me to cry at an emotional moment in most pieces of media, but if I had to pick something that always gets me is the end of almost every Persona game. (Or at least the ones I've played being 3-5 since I can't get my hands on the first two.) Hear me out on this: You play through the entirety of the game meeting and befriending all these characters, getting to know them like actual people, fighting alongside a good number of them, grinding for seemingly endless hours hearing the same dialogue over and over again. *"Looking cool, Joker!" intensifies.* You fight the final boss and wrap things up and then it's just over; forcing you to leave the friends you've made behind until you pick the game up again and get to know them all over again but there's just this feeling of emptiness after a week of not playing where you just... miss them. These fictional characters that otherwise have no real effect on your life but you can't help but feel there's just this feeling of loneliness that kicks in and you just tear up a bit. Also a few key moments in Dragon Quest VIII get me pretty good. The Marcello/Angelo stuff always really gets me, especially near the end of the game. (I also like the stuff they added in the 3DS version that more or less wraps up Marcello's character arc. Great stuff!)

No game has ever made me emotional, in the sense that I start crying. But I think it was either Tales of the Abyss or .hack//GU that first stirred something in me. The characters and how they initially interacted with others was somewhat relatable, and because these were well-written stories, I was invested in the characters and their tragedies. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrfiice also sounds like it could hit close to home. This and Silent Hill 2 and Cry of Fear make me reflect heavily on my life.

Lately I would EASILY have to say The Evil Within 2, a game I really bloody love. I was a pretty big fan of the original game but it was very much a silly, bombastic, hollywood action game with a horror aesthetic but 2 from the very get go clearly went for a more personal and subtle tone. On several occasions it made me feel for Sebastian and his troubles and it went as far as to make me cry it filled me with so many feels. It's a fantastic game, I absolutely love it. https://static.tumblr.com/522a994c39921ccb7dc8786c5022be6e/qeayh5h/ru7oxwn3m/tumblr_static_filename_640_v2.gif

Hm... The Story part of Ciel Nosurge is really good, and different parts had me sad, angry, Happy... It's really good... Unfortunately it's never going to be localized so only way for people who don't understand Japanese is to watch a YouTube translation.

I never cried for a game before... knowing that it's just a game and the fate of the characters will be repeated over and over again throughout other players in the world
