Marry for money first, love second. My old English teacher told me this.

When you match with someone on Tinder do not start with the question "What is your favorite dinosaur and can we make that a sex position?"

Personally I do not think I can give people a general 'life advice' but I do think that you should value your really close friends and be honest to yourself. I do know people rarely value empathy and social intelligence because it does not help in professional interaction. But if you value social contacts and relationships you do will have a lot of quality lifetime.
I do not mean to force those relationships or keep social interaction lasting if you feel not to be in a real friendship but try to value more honest and kind friendships.

All that's well and good but personal friends tend to fade with time. Most of the people I knew from college moved on with life so 'keeping' contacts becomes unrealistic when distance and families come into play.
Family is also in short supply for myself, so holiday gatherings are a no go.
The last "friend" I had show up on my door in recent years was looking for money and a place to stay.
Didn't think to highly of me kept insisting it was my responsibility to keep providing for them while they skipped out on going to work.
When rent came due you better believe he had an excuse.
You better believe I didn't keep up with the doormat mentality.
So we were talking about friends?
Yeah I'm pretty hated and no one calls. Still it could be worse. I could be someone's Sugar Daddy!
