Actually, EVERY generation that preceded them has blamed them, and vice versa. Greatest Generation to the Boomers: Greatest Gen: "We baked you a pie so big that it will feed America for generations to come. And your kids, and their kids will also be sustained through it." Boomers: "OH GOLLY GEE WIZ!" -forms a ravenous pie addiction- Boomers to Gen X: Gen x: "I'm an adult now. Can I have a slice?" Boomers: "Be quiet, and turn down that music, kid. The adults are talking." -siphons the welfare- Gen x: -goes punk rock and starts spreading left wing conspiracy theories- Boomers to Millenials: Millennials: "You're letting the pie get too warm, and distributing it unevenly!" Boomers: "Be quiet kid, and stop whining kid, the people that matter are talking." -crashes the housing market- Millenials: -get thrown out into the world, slammed with student debt, unable to own a house, and stuck in entry level positions thanks to a failing job market, only to be shown everything they been told about the world is wrong- Boomers to Gen Z: Boomers: -still exist- Gen Z: "There's hardly any left. Maybe if we just baked a new pie-" Boomers: "Be quiet kid, haven't you heard those conspiracy theories we totally didn't hijack from the Gen X and warped into our own?" Gen Z: "Okay boomer."

Indeed. And has done stupid things, and has misbehaved, and is equally bad, and so on. But we shouldn't exactly excuse the boomers for the deep shit they put us in, and as they are more resistant to the effects of aging, thanks to the effects of advancing technology in the health field, we've had to put up with them a lot longer than prior gens would have.

(To be clear, I don't advocate for agism. Just stating that this is a thing that's been going on for a while, and I have been paying attention ever since I came of age around the 2011 crash financially crippled me for life.)

Once your in 70 plus. The future generations will probably blame you for everything. The circle repeats itself. Ad infinitum
