Thing is, most of those anime fans who say stuff like that probably aren't perfect themselves. If you respond to their attacks, you are simply giving them power over you. Ignore them.

I think the problem is that some people can push their arguments across quite aggressively which can lead the opposing person to dismiss their arguments purely based off their aggressive behavior which is why it's very important that you do your best to try and understand the other person before you come to a conclusion. Obviously there are limits to this, if the person is insulting you to a high degree, then I think it's worth stating to them that you can't understand them if they act like that and then leave the argument.

I've made plenty of friends here yeah, some of you even like me. But that's not enough to fill the hole I have.

Happiness does exist, but as a drug. We'll spend most of our lives chasing happiness in order to receive satisfaction. To me that sounds just as bad as an addiction. Would it be better to not be happy? Maybe you wanna spend a lifetime chasing that fleeting high.

As someone who has been that guy on occasion, the best thing is to let him know you've moved on and that he needs to do the same. Fortunately for you there's probably an HR department you can go to if he oversteps a boundary.

under no circumstance is it all right to get violent or raise your voice at someone. people like that have anger issues and id recommend staying away from them. that's the first issue. second issue is the "friends with benefits" bullshit. this literally shows he wants to fuck you more than love you. and yes. keep your work as far away as possible from your private life. its never a good idea to date someone from your work place. or work in a place where there are people that know you. it can always go bad whether its talking behind your back or just doing something wrong and have that spread to ur whole family/friends etc. wherever i was working i was friendly with my co-workers but i never made good friends with them. but i'm a loner in nature so there's that~
