How can one maker hinder an entire industry of people working hard to make a quality product by making shit I've made at the start of my knife making hobby and sell it for 800+ usd, have a year long waiting list and get away with it?? By having a cutesy little country girl moving to the big city sorry and making it look like you know what you're doing. I'm so pissed because I put years into learning how to do it the right way and be able to put out a competitively priced but high quality product, yet all the buyers line up for this garbage. Not to mention she's using 100% reclaimed materials which is no no in this price range, you don't know that that material has been trough and if it had stress fractures or inclusions that will ruin a knife. Rant over.

That sounds like every hobby though. In the programming world, i spit gems at people and no one will appreciate it past the outside look. Users arent like "wow look how optimized and modular this program is" lol. So all the garbage that runs people's hardware into the ground but looks flashy gets attention. Also didnt even know knife making was a hobby people did x3 .. i have german steel knives for cooking. Got my parents some too and they dont even know how to handle them. They treat them like they would their stamped sheet metal knives. orz

Alex's videos are enjoyable, I watch his channel quite a lot, but that Chelsea Miller girl making those excuses for knives is a big problem that gives the entire knife making industry a bad name. For 800 usd you can get an almost perfect knife from a reputable custom maker, if it were me I wouldn't even consider selling that thing at all. The picture is an actual 800 dollar knife by a reputable maker with quality materials. There's much more than that to it but it's too much to explain.
