Personally I haven't had much luck on here with talking to girls cus most don't respond. Yeah I'm not the most interesting guy on here but I'm kind and respectful but it's hard to tell what a person is like through a screen. I hope to meet someone nice eventually , I guess I just have to keep trying to message people.

@lee113 don't give up! As long as you are respectful they will appreciate it and someone will message you back.

Meh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ personally i don't care if whoever I'm with is interested in anime, manga or comic culture tbh. I've dated people who weren't interested in it at all. It isn't a deal breaker for me. It's just one interest.

For me I really don't mind if my partner is an otaku or not. It would help because we would have something in common and we can both geek out together but it really does not matter if she is interested or not. I want someone to spend time with and share my life, love and experiences with her as well as learn about her life, her experiences and enjoy her love. Now if she absolutely hated anime and would like me to get rid of every otaku item I own then I will fight back lol. We can reach a compromise or something but I spent way to much money on it for everything to go to the trash.

Um....I'm a girl, and I have met a couple that found each other on this site. They both were on here for a while till it happened. Each one talked and befriended different people. It eventually lead to each other. It seems at times relationships can form, but Idk how often.
on part of personal advice talking to a girl and becoming her friend if you two can connect at least like that is a good way to go. There will be times you will have to make the first post. Even if it's just a basic hi. Some people are scared to hit that request button, especially if they are not very familiar with the person. Then there are some who'll just jump right in and try to befriend you. If you're interested, even just as a friend to her try a mild approach. Even if it is just to say hi and keep talking if she replieS. This is strictly on how my mind is, but if a guy stops responding to me I stop responding to him after a few attempts of trying a conversation. To me that comes off as a sign he decided he wasn't interested in even being friends so I don't nag him. But that reaction is just me. Many different people think and react in different ways. That too takes time to figure out. Sorry if I rambled too much. Um, good luck!

To me, it simply means that two people who have a common love and interest in anime or manga decide to date. No different than say, two football fans in a relationship or any other geeky relationship, it is simply one specific interest is all.
