I understand you didn't mean any ill will (it helps that you clarified that). I don't disagree with your tough live approach, either, and I even think it was appropriate to some extent here. However I think you'll find it most effective when someone is particularly in denial over something. Meaning I feel tough love should be used on individuals with problematic beliefs, rather than a group, such as men.
My point on perspective applies to you as well. I defined it as between men and women, but what I mean in particular is that one indivudual has one perspective. We can try to understand by trying to think as if we're in each others shoes (I do my best to do so), but we still cannot go beyond our own thinking.

Yes, that is the point of discussion. I only ask for consideration. I'm not saying you should aimed to only say praiseworthy things either, though I do hope in the future you can find ways to accomplish what you want with people while not being taken in a negative light, though I may never accomplish that myself, I think it's a nice thing to aim for.

An otaku relationship imo is just like any other normal relationship you would have with a "normie". Just one that involves interests like anime and all that stuff that both people can enjoy together. Although MO displays itself as a dating site and I see dating and a relationship as two different things - dating is just to have a bit of fun, spending a bit of time with someone you're interested in and have a good time even if it's short term. Whereas a relationship is something more committed for both people involved with the intention of going further with the idea in the future. Both of which are definitely fun and always a good experience, I'm currently only dating myself but I'm always curious to see where it goes, we enjoy anime-related stuff and other nerd silliness but even if it doesn't go any further where we're at right now then I'm just happy having fun while it lasts, I don't mind as long as it's a fun experience!
But yeah there's plenty of nice girls on here, a lot of them are waiting for that one guy to come to them but in my opinion, if you like someone then just go ahead and ask them out or something like that! Chances are you won't get that person you like if you just idly wait for them D:

@InfernalMonsoon - Yeah, that's some good points and I actually agree with what she's saying.
I'm not really pursuing any relationships right now because:
a) I found out in high school that it's not worth it to be constantly searching for one. I am in college right now and trying to find a job so, I'm trying to focus on that.
b) The right girl for me hasn't been found or shown up yet.

Maybe it's just my own experience, but Otaku share a unique dark humor, openness to intellectual and philosophical discussion, and upbeat lightheartedness that is difficult to find in other subcultures. They're genuine passion for anime is infectious and endearing. I think otaku relations are the bees knees, but I think it's hard for them to find each other in a society that generally forces them to conceal their interests and hobbies.
