Rent-a-friend

So I'm on Facebook and I see a girl is advertising herself as a rent-a-friend. I don't know how old this girl is or if this is just a weird prank. But if it's real I'm seriously worried for this girl •~• I know it's a thing in Japan but crime isnt as high as it is here. What's your thoughts on this? changing the subject on this... So your fine with the whole rent a friend service, but would you ever consider putting yourself up as one?

As long as she is an adult and mentally sane, I think it's her decision and certainly none of my, or your business. Friends for hire, or similar concepts, have been around for a long time, these people were just called different names, like parasite, or prostitute. So, if you can hire an escort, why not a "friend" as well? Obviously there is a market for that.

She is an adult 18yrs, mentality sane who's to say. But that's not the issue I'm having with this-it's more to do with safety for this girl or anyone who does this to make easy money who might end up as easy targets for people with less than good intentions, not saying all of ppl have this in mind. At least with an escort service, there's some security measures. In this case she's on her own, only that seems to protect her is largely based on what the person hiring her is willing to give her that can be falsified. Name number and signing a contact, that's it.

Security has been an issue for prostitutes since, like, forever, that is why I have asked about her age and her mental state. If she's not completely stupid, she should be aware of the risks and therefore know what she's getting herself into. If she does this, because she's desperate and sees no other possibility to earn money, well, then that's a different matter. Do you know her, or why does this bother you so much? I mean, people do the most retarded things all the time, and many of them get themselves killed, or seriously hurt, so what makes this case so special?

I saw an ad the other day for a professional cuddler. I think things like that are just a thing now :v if she's of age what she does with her life is her business and in this day and age I'd hope someone would know the risks of posting something like that online

People pay for services from other people ALL the time. Why should I pay to go to a restaurant, have someone cook my meal and serve me? I can certainly do all of that myself, but it's a convenience and one could argue that a paid friend would be the same. People pay for sex legally, all over the world(Got the bunny ranch here in the US). Are they losers? Nah, they're honest and pay for an experience to their liking. If you want a payed friend, who am I to question how you spend your money? We all pay for services that we all can do on our own.
