Would you date someone who was disabled?

crossbones
Yep. I have disabilities myself so it would be retarded for me to reject someone disabled. Few years ago, I loved someone who was in a wheelchair due to a health condition but sadly, the feelings weren't mutual. I saw past their disability. Even then, I still care even if they gave me bullshit and I give them bullshit time to time. Everyone is imperfect but being together with another is what creates perfection.

Can properly mentally disabled people even consent?

I would find that having to deal with their disability alongside them might be difficult for me, but otherwise, yeah, I could love a disabled person.

Haha, that's relatable Teacup. I personally would never expect anyone to have to take care of my problems. My emotions are my problem, and I'll do my own work, thank you very much. That said, as I tend to gravitate towards people who need help, I always find myself knee deep in other people's problems. While I'm the type who's made to endure, I shudder to think of what it would be like if I didn't know how to manage my own problems. I don't think I could blame anyone for thinking like that. But yeah, I could deal with someone who has depression, anxiety, and problems like that. Physical problems are outside of my area of expertise though, so if I knew I liked a girl with one, I would have a lot to look into about it. I at least wanna know what I have to watch out for if it's up to me to raid her purse for an inhaler. Even I have my limits though.

These days seems like everyone is disabled in some form or another anyway.

I am physically disabled. It's virtually invisible, but chronic pain and weird nerve sensations pretty much rule my day. I would definitely be open to dating someone who is disabled. I think it would make some things easier, because they would already understand why I need to nap at weird times, or need to be alone or take forever to do something and so on. However, with that said, it would be difficult for me to date someone who needs significant care simply because it would naturally be difficult for me to help. Still, definitely open to it, I try to be open to all kinds of people.

It really depends. If you love her so much, that you would care for her with or with out the disability go for it. If you think that you can live with it forever then go. If you think that her disability will hinder you and affect your happiness then dont. If she is sweet, nice and smart yes. If she has a rotten personality then no. Its hard to find a nice person, so if you find one go for it!
