Have you ever been catfish'd on this site?

Most catfish will constantly come up with lame excuses not to see you in person so you'll know they are suspicious. One this site, lots of users like make other accounts just to mess with people. If it is too good to be true then it probably is.

oh i know of a fool proof way of catching a catfish. simply ask for a pic of themselves with their finger in their ear.

Years ago I found out a person I was talking to here was a catfish, pointed some things out and she/he decided to deactivate. The profile wasn't anything spectacular or seemingly too good to be true, just someone looking to hurt people. Sadly catfish will probably be common on any site considered a dating site.

Half of every crop of newest otakus that pop up are blatant fake accounts and/or pictures. Does the notion that there are catfishies aimlessly wandering around this site really surprise anyone?
