Many people find all sorts of shit creepy even if it's innocent. Like here. You're on a supposedly "dating site". No shit people want to know more about you to see if you both can match or be good friends. If a normal encounter bothers you that much, then no wonder you feel alone. Then again, many users here are supposedly "anti-social", have "social-anxiety" and shit. I think it's creepy when someone collects pictures of you or certain details that are meant to be private. However, If you put that shit online publicly you should expect that. I'll be honest that I have a habit of coming at people like the FBI which may seem "creepy". I just ask questions to start conversations or keep conversations going since many people here are incompetent at chatting. Just innocent questions regarding what they like and have interests in.

Being more of an introvert, in the rare case I find someone who wants to know more about me, it can get creepy when it turns into a sort of 24/7 affair. A lifetime of habits simply isn't going to vanish because someone opts to pay attention to me. And while I'll make efforts to include said person if the feeling does wind up being mutual, there's still room for conflict if it's not on the same level/fast enough. And sometimes it's simply a feeling out process to make sure they aren't bullshitting about an interest. <insert girl who thinks Link is Zelda meme here>

You know? I tried pushing the boundaries of how and where someone becomes creepy at Ohayocon last week, and I never crossed that threshold. Like I walked up to a Chiaki cosplayer who was sitting with her friends and was all like: "Oh wow! Your so cute! Chiaki is my waifu, and I jus- I HAVE A PILLOW WITH YOU ON IT..." -eye twitch- The reaction I got was her and all her friends cheering. I also asked a Lillie cosplayer for the honors of putting her nebbie back in its bag (I was taking random quests from congoers all weekend, and that one kept popping up). She seemed delighted. Meanwhile, I watched my friend Rusty try to ask a girl what anime she was from, and the look on her face was just downright "Please go away, creeper." She was too polite to say anything though, and Rusty wasn't keen enough to pick up on it, but I guess some people are just more inherently creepy than others.
