Then, as quickly as it began, it is complete, leaving a worn-out shadow in its wake. And the only feeling I am left with, the only thing I know, is that... a death has occurred." This quote is taken from season 2, episode 2 of the Orville. I've been wanting to write this down for a while because I just found this very relatable. It takes place during episode at a point where one of the characters who is an artificial intelligence asks a biological character what it is like to feel sexual urges. In this case it is a negative sexual urge that should not have been acted upon.
