I Hate Christmas

Christmas is probably the only time there's NO drama in my family because we try to be considerate of one another. Yesterday was great. We watched Home Alone and While You Were Sleeping while decorating the Christmas tree and drinking champagne. Exchanging presents and calling the German step family was pretty peaceful, too. Though nobody gets drunk on Christmas in my family. That's what New Year's is for.. and that's usually where all the drama happens. In 2010 I spent my Christmas locked in my room without food because my mom was mad at me though. That wasn't really peaceful. But we evolved since then. Merry Christmas to all who know to appreciate it. ^-^ To the rest... well go cry yourself to sleep or just spend it as a regular day while complaining about how commercial it is. Or if you genuinely don't care... have a nice day. c:

If something is painful, it means it once wasn't. Focus on and enjoy the good times, so you can enjoy them even when they're gone. Memories are just the seeds of what still can or doesn't have to be, you are the gardener.

Well At least I got 140$ for free. Better buy me the video games I want a new MP3 player. Also Merry Christmas to you all.

Christmas is considered to be a sacred day of sorts for everyone, whether you're religious or not. Even during the WW1 and WW2 many battlefields ceased fire and called a truce just for that one day. I'm a sick twisted fuck who hates pretty much everyone. But I still refuse to be, or make anyone sad on winter holidays. *shrugs* I dunno, it just feels way too wrong. Evil or not, everybody seems to draw out at least the little bit of good they have left in them on that time. Guess it kinda makes me remember my naive childhood, when I thought the world was a magical and forgiving paradise. xD

Christmas is just the winter solstice festival of old, just like Halloween is for the autumn solstice. Nothing special. But, it was during ww1 during one particular skirmish, that the fight stopped for a night, not "many battlefields".

@yasshat I know about that "one fight" don't worry. I'm not somebody to spit out such a seemingly ignorant sack of garbage out of the blue. However, I've had family members who lived long enough and were willing to pass on me, or at least some of them write before their death the part of the true history outside the school books and how that one battle has affected them. I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but I'm 100% positive that's what happened in the eastern Europe and a bit beyond. Not counting my far east homeland of Siberia though, because that's a story for another time and place. xD

I take back what I said earlier. I don't hate the holidays, but more so I feel down and out this time of year. I googled holiday blues and I saw something called Seasonal Affective Disorder. I may have that, because I wasn't always like this, although during my childhood I'd get a little down during this time, mainly due to the fact it isn't going to last as long as I'd like. Anyway I got money for Christmas and some presents. But I'm still really down due to gray skies and loss of loved ones during this time. Anyway I hope you all had a great Christmas. @OP did you at least get something this year?
