Normally dating sites never work out well in my favor,I've met 1 or 2 people from okcupid,they all seem coco for coco puffs. I did meet someone on maiotaku I met someone on here,who i previously knew on FB in 2015,(we both lost contact for an entire year.)We started talking in august 2016,We went on our first hang out date,the week after otakon 2016,it was the best decent,date I've ever had,also hung out in october,We are both still talking,even now. I hope to seem them at katsucon,and to see more of them!!!

I haven't so far, but I definitely see how it could work out if you live in more urban areas or you're capable of committing to a long-distance relationship. For me personally, it's also a bit harder to find people who are in the 26-35 age range -- when looking for women in particular, I mean. The site seems to get most of its traffic from people 25 and under, and while I wouldn't mind dating somebody in their early 20's, I'm rapidly approaching 33; so I'd prefer to meet someone who's had a similar amount of life experience. I may have to join Lamby and just settle for a dakimakura. XD

Going with what Shawnji said, I think this site is best utilized in conjunction with conventions. Because for those of us who live in rural, or redneck-urban areas, its highly doubtful we will meet anyone who lives near us through this site.
