My parents forced me to get flu shots when they first came out, no ill effects though. I haven't had a shot in over 15yrs now. I generally avoid any types of pharma drugs unless absolutely necessary.

I get shots every year since I and most of my family are in healthcare. Last year was spectacular since it was my first year of pharm school and I had to get everything I couldn't find records to or were low on my titers. So basically Tdap, Hep B series (3 doses), MMR booster (That one hurts), and the annual flu and tb test. Can't say I've ever had any ill effects. I normally just go home and pass out lol Maybe you caught a little bug that just happens to coincide? Tdap is an inactivated vaccine so it's pretty safe, even for immunocompromised patients and pregnant women. Highly recommended even :P

Yeah, it can hurt. Everyone told me that their tdap hurt but I thought my hep B that I did the same day hurt worse. I didn't even notice the Tdap lol. Yeah, we do keep track of symptoms but generally if someone is gonna have an adverse reaction, then they'll do it ~15 mins after getting the shot. Anything else after that I wouldn't worry about.

^ Say that again in the really gay thread ;) They'll love it. Apart from that I can only say that I never felt bad or ill or whatever after a booster shot.

@daggerfall well, you can massage it, if you want, to help with the soreness. Or stretch, just work out the muscle. My immunization instructor does that, we didn't cause I think we were still freaking out about practicing on each other lol. Also maybe alternate like a hot towel or something, that can help.

Eh, booster shots never really bothered me - the only thing I hate about them is how weird it feels when it's inside (cue the "that's what she said" jokes). Like seriously, it just feels REALLY weird man.
