Whenever i'm feeling stress, I tend to break into singing.. "That one time i'm playing Shrek-Slenderman on my own, I start singing 'All Star' by Smash mouth and someone joins in..." http://i.imgur.com/YOJoASY.gif

I do something I'm good at, it revitalises my confidence and my anxiety fades away.

I don't think its something you exactly control, merely manage. I personally don't have many anxiety problems (That I'm consciously aware of, perhaps), but most of my friends do, and generally it just sounds like a common insecurity every normal person has on some level, blown out of proportion. If that's the case, there's no real way to not feel that. Its normal to feel a bit insecure in situations. The only way not to feel that is to have had a lot of experience doing it, and a measurable rate of both failure and success. I agree with Xynox on page 1 about meditation though. Its a good way to bring a lot of your anxieties to light, and really explore them emotionally to get a better understanding of where they come from within yourself. Though if you don't have the patience to sit with yourself, as Yasu said, taking a walk with your thoughts also helps. Other tips: -Get proper sleep. -Eat properly. -Get exercise. You may think these things are exclusively for obtaining a healthy body, but that does wonders for your mental health as well. Huzzah for balancing your brain chemicals!

Anxiety can come on in a multitude of different ways, some medical reasons due to concern for yourself whereas others personal or mental. Theres no clear cut solution for everybody but generally there are a few things that seem to take out most forms of anxiety. Lets list those then discuss others for more specific bouts of anxiety. Firstly as mentioned exercise works wonders that and anything that can trigger the endorphins. Specifically though aerobic exercise it has shown in multiple studies that just 5 minutes of intense aerobic exercise can create stress/aniexty reducing effects. This also as a byproduct leads up to better sleep and overall self esteem. Jumping right into sleep, lets get into the details on this one since sleep can make or break anxiety. For example 6-7 hours is ideal since some do better at the 6 mark. Going to bed late has shown to have negative effects and may not help anxiety. Lastly avoid electronic stimulation or lights since it will interefer with your bodies process of sleeping perhaps add a white noise to help or a fragrance lavander will work as a default. Nightlights or other small lights are alright if you cant stand the dark. REM sleep is a wonderous thing if the cycles are ran properly Eating follows the same double edged sword as sleep its all about what your eating to deal with anxiety and how much. Chicken eggs nuts all have b vitamins which can effect mood shown in multiple studies. A obvious one salmon with all its fatty acids specifically omega 3s has shown to even help with depression outside of anxiety. Greek Yogurt has been shown to have slight effects on anxiety as well a added bonus with all the probiotics. Green Tea, Chamomile Tea, White Tea, and Rooibus Tea all have moderate effects on anxiety over time. That is to name a few which are good for anxiety foodwise and drinkwise. Outside of some of the main ones here are a few others. Laughter one of the best ways to ease it out if you can find something funny that usually makes you laugh then definitely use it when your anxious. Silence is also a good method for the type that creates rushing thoughts when something has happened. Visualization is a pretty moderate way of dealing with anxiety much like meditation just visualize yourself in a better place or perhaps a place where yo can let out all your thoughts. When its a anxiety that is more serious like a panic attack realizing that you are having anxiety and slow relaxed deep breathing are key points with the last one being more obvious. Thats to name some methods that will hopefully prove useful.

I watched a YouTube video with Teal swan. She's very detailed about what she talks about and informative.

Leave and don't go back to what caused it. Not a great solution.
