@gabriel_true Season 2 wasn't as good as Season 1 and I pretty much agree with your sentiments about characters and forced relationships. I also was annoyed they changed the actress for Beelzebub. The best part about the Season was more interaction from Gabriel/Jon Hamm.

@verucassault Have you read the books the show was based on? I'm curious to know how much was adapted for the TV series. As for my gripe with episode 5 I thought even for a low budget production they could have been more creative with fighting the demons with something other than books and fire extinguishers! They even missed an opportunity to throw an actual Bible at them and make a humorous quip about it. The human characters also uncharacteristically appeared fairly chill encountering the supernatural too! Like I know they're British, however you'd think they'd have a livelier reaction to Angels and Demons rather than, "Well that's a typical Friday night I tell you what!" I thought the woman portraying Shax was fun and she should have been allowed to use her demonic powers to do more than zap one random demon. I became tired of watching Shax stand menacingly idol for over 30 minutes of the episode's run time. The cliffhanger ending felt appropriate. @gabriel_true Haven't read it but I think the second season had no source material. The book was written in 1990 and the first season definitely felt more fleshed out.

Freaking hell, just graduated leadership school. After standing in the same spot without moving any inch of my body for about an hour and a half, my legs and arms are shot. Not to mention we did 46 air squats, 31 push ups, and 12 burpees and walked 6 miles carrying a 50 lb rock beforehand. Pure torture.
