It also has one of highest amount of violent crimes/rapes and murder rates per Capita. That or you can just "disappear". Look up Nome Alaska.

lol The first thing that came up was kinda endearing. Welcome to Nome, Alaska where the greatest claim to fame is being home to the 'world's largest gold pan' and the ending point of the most famous sled dog race the world - the Iditarod! ... Nome is also known for its incredibly harsh winters. And right below it: The Mystery Of Nome, Alaska Is Dark And Evil And Impossible

@yaasshat Wait, is this town in part some inspiration for 30 Days of Night? 2 dozen people missing, thought it was UFOs or a serial killer lurking among the populace. Nevermind, mentions the movie the Fourth Kind.

@hell_hound7 yeah it is expensive but you get decent amount of COLA by living there. I believe it was like an extra $500 when I was there. Also if you like B.O.S.S. at all they do some pretty cool and fun things such as provide Deep sea fishing trips, hiking glaciers or mountains, sky diving, and other cool things.

@criselington i hear about COLA alot i tried getting a definite answer if its more or less than BAH which sort of depends more on the local housing. Which for me is pretty trash considering the cheapest in my area is $1,000 and i get paid 980 BAH. But i dont intend to pocket alot of that money because i know my worth UwU and imma stay in a house or area that is worthy of me. It would be great to live there for the housing. I might want to get a house out there at some point. But you know that cist of living sucks.

@hell_hound7 Your COLA depends where you are at just like your BAH but it's usually less than your BAH. COLA is a non taxable allowance you get monthly to pay for stuff like food or utilities and stuff like that. When I was stationed in Alaska it was like 500 I believe. If you are a shift worker like MPs or medical staff doing their Hospital rotation you also get your food allowance so it's a nice way to build up money if you're smart with your finances.

I see, so this COLA sounds pretty OP. More money is always nice. I mean im sitting pretty nice at 1500 per pay period. But a little more would be nice. Having to pay 1300 for housing isnt fun. Because that means that every other paycheck is strictly bills. Having more money is great. In other news my friend got married to a dude i dont like so thats amazing. And we agreed to go do something as a group and she might bring him. Lame af.
