I was just talking to a friend about our approach when creating an own character o: Especially if we play as the same gender as we actually are, or try to recreate ourselves in the game. I'm sure there has been a topic about this before, somewhere burried in this forum, but i couldnt find anything ^-^ For myself, I always create another character and get into another role. So I play as both genders, whatever looks better or fits my class. Sometimes I'm so deep in the role, that I start to think the way the character would (SWTOR/KOTOR/An other bioware game). And I take character creation really serious, and I can't handle those "trash-characters" you see in some MMO's, where people just mashep up all the features, just to look as weird as possible D:
Usually myself or I play as one of my friends, I've been playing my girlfriend in Dragons dogma though with myself as pawn (she's in on it ofcourse) that was fun.
I usually play a character who I identify with in some way such as gender and morals but usually different in appearance and backstory. I usually rp quite hard.
