I think as nice as it is to have a kouhai wanting you to notice them, honestly, just sitting around hoping someone will be the one to message and say they like you doesn't happen very often for most people, especially in this community where I'd imagine a majority of people are inherently shy. For most people, you do have to make a concerted effort to talk to others and put yourself out there. Just setting up a profile, putting a few random pics on it, and a few sentences about yourself with an "open for relationship" sign probably isn't going to be enough to find a relationship on here. Same goes for irl. You can't just sit around at home outside of school/work and hope people will want to be around you.
