Lol, I was raised Catholic all my childhood; had to go to mass every Sunday morning, no meat on Friday, give up something for lent, regular confession, religious classes etc. I was so relived to drop those shackles when I moved out. Sex, drugs, rock 'n roll FREEDOM! Lol, but the biggest issue with religion is that it focuses too much on sexuality in it's view of morality. Nudity and sex is just a natural function of the body. ("impure thoughts" was always my back up for confession if I couldn't think of anything else). Catholicism tries to make you feel guilty about everything. Guilt in many people leads to neurosis than manifests itself in abhorrent thoughts or even acts which is inherently unhealthy. This is most extreme in sexuality because anything "forbidden" is even more sexually exciting. Hence the severity of the issue of pedophilia in modern culture as well as bestiality and other extreme fetishes. Forced morality/suppressed sexuality results in a psychological backlash resulting in the opposite of the desired effect.
