Prom

Have anyone here never been on a prom? Cause I haven't... XD what's prom like? Is it like I see in TV or movies were they dance then make out then eat then dance? O.o

My prom was... Disastrous. Back then I was still an awkward kid who had no sense of fashion (neither do I have now but surely has improved) and looked utterly hideous. To me it's a thing I want to forget. Prom - At least simple thing in UK. You go over to a place rented by the school, people arrive in hideous cars to show off just for a day, you talk with each other, make pictures, eat and dance till its the end. It's one of those places I learned that I hate people and crowded places.

I went to prom three times, twice at my school since a lot of my friends were upperclassmen and then at a friend's who didn't go to my school. I had a good time just being with friends and having fun. I made sure I got my money's worth from senior fees :p My school rented space in a hotel downtown and basically for the first half it was dancing, pictures, and eating and just hanging out similar to what people do in movies. Around 11 or so they had converted the lower ballroom with linflatable slides and bounce houses and stuff and like carnival games where you could win tickets for the prize drawing they'd have in the morning for stuff that's useful for college. Like mini fridges and whatnot

Nothing to be sad about. It's boring. Unless you like "parties" and socializing that is.

I went to prom like two times, first time was in some party salon we rented and the other was in a big Arabic club. Both were great and simple, just some dancing and drinking with friends.

Never went. Buddy (who also bailed on prom) and I instead went to Philly, where our prom was being held anyway, and just screwed around.
