Marrying a Japanese person

meisterman1985
This topic is to discuss about marrying a Japanese person if any of you wish would happen. Me and my father just finished discussing about the difficulty and cost of marrying a Japanese native, and now it looks like another long way to go. Too much paperwork signing, hiring a lawyer that costs an arm and leg, having insurance in both countries if living in both, and flight tickets. He also said you probably need to be around as rich as a millionaire. A local friend of mine said try looking around your home country for one, but it feels more difficult although more affordable. Why is this topic here? I feel like an otaku so much, I thought it would be possible for me to find someone in Japan who's also an otaku. Do any of you have any advice?

Yeah, if you're serious, quit while you're ahead. I doubt you are, because it'd be hard to believe that your dad could be so stupid as to see this as a reasonable thought or even entertain you with it.

Thanks yaasshat. I guess you are right. That's like Mario and Princess Peach playing tennis while Luigi shouts "Give up, Mario! She's whooping you bad!"

No, it's like being realistic and not so selfish. Why does she have to be Japanese? It sounds like you're fetishsizing Japanese people and or just have a loose sense about reality due to fantasizing about the unattainable things you see in anime. You're dehumanizing people.

Because I am quite fascinated by Japan, especially for it's entertainment. I don't watch much of the sci-fi nor fantasy animes much, but the modern day ones that simulate life in Japan such as school days seen in K-On! and some parts of Nichijou, made me like Japan more. Some American shows like Real Housewives ones show how harsh and dirty talking women in America can be, like that infamous table toss scene. Of course, Japan is no exception... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nis-5M0Ydvk ...but I heard it's much safer to walk around Tokyo at night than in NYC also at night. In fact, I recently saw on Inside Edition a homeless man in NYC sneaked behind a nearby woman and stabbed her in the face. As for Japan however, many people from natives to visitors said that Tokyo is one of the safest cities in the world. Even though, earthquakes, typhoons, microorganisms (which explains the face masks) and the problem with the Fukushima nuclear power plant affected by the earthquake and tsunami in 2011, the Japanese executive of the Olympics for 2020 said the station is still under control. My interest in having a Japanese woman all started in 2011 shortly after the 2011 earthquake and April 27th tornado storms when a local news station mentioned someone who lives near me and his Japanese girlfriend worrying about each other after both natural disasters occurred.

meisterman1985, why not move to japan? Aslo, just ignore yaasshat. He's a troll and a idiot who advocates debauchery and decadence. western women are very often slutty fat tattooed up morally bankrupt foulmouthed smoking self entitled abusive manipulative uncaring whores who often have no no dignity or self respect and are more masculine than many guys these days, anyone who says otherwise should wake up already and see that you don't have to just accept it like so many poor desperate guys out there do. you CAN have a better life and this is one way to go about it. >While the United States represents about 4.4 percent of the world's population, it houses around 22 percent of the world's prisoners. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_incarceration_rate compare that to a country like japan where practically no one owns a gun. you can cry weebo all you want but facts are facts.

In fact, probably according to Fahrenheit 9/11, Japan gets approximately 15 or 25 killed by a hand gun, but in the U.S., over 10,000. But while living in Japan, perhaps there are certain restrictions. Japan dislikes piracy I assume, which doing certain things as legal as possible feels more fun and rewarding than the opposite. Right now, I can't live in Japan immediately like in a few months. I must learn more about independent living first.

It will take effort but any good relationship does. You can try living in Japan or having her move to the US. I knew about a few Japanese who married Americans and were quite excited to live in America and vice versa with Americans wanting to live in Japan. Also while Japan immigration isn't like the US you can navigate. It's good to be realistic but don't let money get in the way of love. I am sure there are sites to help you meet Japanese women.

Oh, neet, you so silly. And you think these forums give you any indication on who I am? Take your self righteous bull shit to someone who cares, ya damn egotistical kid. Anyways... Dude, just ask yourself the reason why you want what you want and be honest. Congrats on thinking about becoming independent first. I'm half telling you this because I'm bored and half telling you this because you could make a huge mistake. But, yeah, become self reliant before you think about these kinds of big leaps. Besides, people take advantage of people with what I can only assume is a fetish (and vice versa).

I think it'd be cool to have one, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find one nor would I really mind dating any girl of a different race or ethnicity. To me all women are beautiful no matter their skin color. We're all human beings at the end of the day. XD
