Joining

Ah, you want to know my reason... Well to be honest I am quite happy with the friends I do have to talk anime with. They may not be much in quantity, but they more than make up for in quality and I am happiest with that. Of course, if the quality remains high, I can always make more friends, so I will continue making new nakama and chatting whenever I can... However there is one exception. I do want to have a romantic relationship with someone whom I can connect with on a deeper level. And that deeper level is anime. I have never even kissed a girl, let alone have a relationship. I possibly could have if I settled for just anyone, like the first willing female to say yes, regardless of intentions or interests. But no, I seriously want someone who will "talk anime to me." Of course there are other things I look for in a gal, but one of the key things is we have to have something to connect on. Otherwise, it will just be a countdown until we run out of things to talk about and break up due to boredom. But a fellow lover of anime, manga, light novels and/or video games? These things will keep changing and evolving. New ones will also appear. Thus we will never grow bored of each other and run out of things to say as we awkwardly sit at a table musing about the weather or something mundane like that. Small talk is okay for certain things, not for what I have in mind (long term) Ah I started ranting... At any rate, I am still looking for anyone interested, and/or waiting for the one who I don't see to glomp me and declare her interest! I don't care who confesses as long as the feeling is mutual. Anyway I will keep my dream alive (and stay on this site where I can possibly meet others) so long as I am alive!

Irl it always seems like being an otaku is forbidden and shameful or something. Even if people like anime, they never really talk about it in public. So I thought it would be fun to find a community that consists entirely of otaku. I did some research and stumbled upon this site. I'm still around cause people here are usually nice to talk to, and never judge. ^^

I get lonely and thought it would be nice to talk with people who have similar interests. I like talking to people, even if they are strangers.. I just sometimes need some sort of interaction with people and it can be a bit difficult when you are a bit awkward in social situations.. So yeah, I basically joined just to have new people to talk to..

I got sick and had to put university on hold, all of my friends have gone to their universities so I guess I was pretty lonely and decided to join to make some friends, ended up getting something more. All friends on MO have left really, so I don't actually know why I keep coming back.

Hmmmm to make friends. It's not easy finding anime and manga people up here where I live. Been on for a while but it wasn't until recently I really started getting involved. Have met some pretty cool people here.
