Do you think it was an orb? For a while I thought they could only show up on film or pictures but there are stories where people have said to see them with the naked eye.

@yaasshat: A scientist should not rely on faith that they have undeniable proof. They can only present that they've gathered information. And that information will lead where it may. The only thing a scientist needs to have faith in is that the rules of the universe apply everywhere. For if they don't every other argument there after is pointless.

Meh... We all have faith in something, get over it.;P
I just wonder one thing, why do most paranormal things happen at night ("aliens" included)? I'd think that'd be an indicator of a few things, buuut... I am just a little bit skeptical. I don't doubt the experiences shared in here, I only question reasoning. I guess it's as was said "One of those things you have to experience.". Still, I love reading, watching and hearing personal experiences, I do love the thought of the unknown.

I've often wondered that as well. That's why the events that take place during the day are of particular interest to me. On the flip side, burglaries and other crime also increase at night. And many predators are nocturnal. If something has a sense of light and dark and understands that light sensing creatures tend not to do as well in the dark, then that creature would be smart to operate at night.
Course it would also make sense to operate in Antarctica where no one would find you as well.

here's an interesting read that touches on the energy aspects but theorizes it's living people who project the phenomenon

this one talks about a multiverse theory which explains ghosts appear to people when the fabric separating our dimension to the next is thin

this theory focuses on psychology and psyche

There are a lot of theories out there and a lot of people explore different ones.
Ultimately some people need to suspend a little disbelief and consider some possibilities while others need to suspend their belief and consider probabilities. I feel like I'm a middle person in this. I don't understand why people have to see it as one way or the other really.

The penguins in Antarctica need to read up on those links...
At any rate, the top two theories most interest me. Particularly when it comes to practical applications based on their implications.
