Minor and Adult Dating

18 to 14 is kind of pushing it. That's someone finishing high school versus someone who is in eighth grade or just starting high school. 18-16 wouldn't be bad imo. In a couple of years it will be 20-16 which is college versus high school still which is just awkward and still a big age and maturity gap imo. At least to have a lasting relationship. I sure wouldn't want to be that guy two-three years out of high school taking my underage gf to her local HS prom, but that's just me.

You got a good point, Cecil. Also, When an 18 year old or older say "I'll just wait 4 years" or so (depends on the minor's age), what does that mean? Like what are they going to do after the minor reach the appropriate age?

That what makes me worried because if he waited 4 years just to have sex, get her pregnant, then tell her he's not ready to be a father. That would be the most fucked up thing to do to a girl. And I agree with you Xypho. I doubt he will wait 4 years too. People tend to find other guys or girls quickly and try to get with them.

Yeah that is pushing the envelope a bit IMHO but I don't know them. The gap can be a little more forgiving later in life when both parties are adults. They are either madly in love(not likely lacking XP) or he is a serious pussy beggar beta boy IMHO. Like Cecil said it is not just a 4 year age gap, they are in different steps of personal development. You go through many changes and mature in HS to become a new young adult to set out on your adventures in life. I noticed as I got older it was easier to 'wow' and influence younger girls and see how other men are tempted to manipulate the naive with their experience and/or resources. I think 16-20 is still pushing it some. For me once I was 21 I did not look to younger girls much as they could not go where I could and could begin to see the division between girls and real women.

DarkuSchneider, that's true. Minors tend to do things when an adult tell them to do. Like all that pressure goes on them and they end up actually doing whatever they asked. I think parents should put parental control on social media sites like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

As a general rule, I wouldn't normally say it's okay, but it really just depends on the people involved. Even though people say that girls mature faster than guys do, I think that a 14/15 year old is still pretty young. They don't really have that much maturity, and as others have mentioned, it's the most influential time of growing. That being said though, as long as things are kept inside the law, and the guy involved is a good role model, I think it could be good experience for the girl. The problem with that is, (correct me if I'm wrong) I don't really think there are many guys who would happily date a minor and are also good decent guys.
