Mine is mystery, or any kind where people have things like guilds. Or most animes with swords.

I like most anime if it intrigues me I'll watch it. If I had to choose I like romance anime the most.

I'll say 80% of the anime from the 80s and 90s were AWESOME ! with the exception of the stuff which was meant purely for kids ... some were still watch-able like Gao-Gai-GAR https://youtu.be/4brtDQ4E8UY

I am generally the oddball and don't really watch shounen action stuff like everyone else. Everyone else likes SAO, Attack on Titan...I don't really need to name anymore. Generally action horror scifi stuff, that's fine, just not what I go for. I like highschool drama romcoms. I think they like to call them "slice of life" and "coming of age" animes. Angel Beats, Toradora, 5 Centimeters Per Second. Throw some harmen into it and that's all right too.

I guess mine would be action anime but I don't really like categorizing anime by the traditional genres. In my opinion its the deep thought process of the creator that creates a strong story with depth that makes an anime good. It could be any genre at all and if its well thought out or clever than I'm sure id enjoy it.
