kurok It may be true for most, but there are exceptions. I have a been friends with a woman since high school and in the 14 years I have known her, it was never intimate. We still meet up on occasion to talk and spend time together, but we don't date because we are not compatible as anything outside of friendship. We don't have the same beliefs, we argue on everything, come from vastly different backgrounds, and yet I have always kept my friendship alive with her simply because having people to talk with is a wonderful thing. Even being different, we both enjoy our conversations and time together. However being romantic would be challenging since that's not what our friendship is built upon.
