@kurahido Not afraid of it, it's just sort of lacking in magnificence. How do you get a star? Get a bunch of hydrogen in one spot and gravity will take care of the rest. How do you get a black hole? Just squish a bunch of mass into the Schwarzchild radius and we have a black hole. Life on the other hand I argue is something more amazing and complex. As I like to say, "The universe doesn't care what it's doing, it just does it. Us on the other hand, we know what we are doing and for what purpose." I wanted to be a deep sea marine biologist when I grew up, then I realized that I suck at organic chemistry. Like with sucrose and sucralose, it is literally the same thing only sucralose has an extra chlorine bond that makes it so the body doesn't absorb it. To me space is interesting, but not exactly something that can offer us anything until we perfect the warp drive or figure out how to make a stable wormhole.
