Lewis Hamilton isn't the greatest F1 Driver in history. No. This spot belongs to Ayrton Senna and Ayrton Senna alone. He was a man! A machine! The fastest F1 Driver in history! He won, he won and he won!

Game of Thrones sucks
verucassault
The books are quite good tho.... The show bastardized the story.

Game of Thrones did not get it as bad as what they did to Eragon!

I personally never was a fan of medieval fantasy. Dragons and wizards popping about was never something I was interested in. So to say that I didn't enjoy Game of Thrones goes without question. However that is not to say that I don't like the medieval period at all. Byzantine Empire is still my all time favorite empire to ever exist.

I liked Eragon because the main character wasn't the only reason the 'hero' characters won. It took everyone doing their part to win against the villains. Also the fact the greatest protagonist is the main character's non-magical, step-cousin who gave me the vibes of someone really sick of everyone elses magic dragon bullshit. Especially when he literally suplexed an unbeatable magic knight into oblivion! Roran for President 2020

@dyadka_yar What about it? I had a class in college that was specifically about Art in the Byzantine Empire. Lots of mosaics, egg tempera painting, gold leafing. Weird looking smol human cherubs and babies.

@gabriel_true I was interested in Eragon but didn't go back to read the books. I don't read anymore because I am lazy. And my eyes are lazy. I feel like their lifeforce gets soul sucked everyday with just how much time I spend looking at the computer screen.

@verucassault Well a lot of people say that "during the dark ages we were set back 1,000 years". Maybe for Western Europe, but not the Byzantine Empire, they were doing rather fine from the start and were arguably the most technically advanced nation in the world at the time. They still had Roman Empire technologies, but also improved upon them, namely in more efficient construction of buildings. The military was one of the most impressive of the time, namely their mixing of heavily armored soldiers taking the enemy head on with the flanks covered by light cavalry or more defensive forces. Even the Chinese visitors were very impressed with them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8mTOatKEVQ&ab_channel=VoicesofthePast

@dyadka_yar Ah... they had very sound architecture that has survived, temples and holy sites. Many of the mosaics were destoryed in holy wars, but thankfully some of them exist. The only other civilizations that took to mosaics like the Byzantines were the Greeks and Romans.
