Stop watching anime!

I still like a few Shounen anime, mainly the ones with good art and characters like Katekyo Hitman Reborn and Magi. I can't really get into stuff like Naruto or Bleach though. They're way too long. I think KHR and Magi were made with female viewers in mind, they give off a very "unisex" vibe rather than pure shounen. Beautiful male characters and strong dependable females(at least in Magi). I also really like Yoite from Nabari No Ou, even if the anime itself felt kinda generic.

Nah, nope. Always had a comeback for comments about the usual 'Anime is for kids' routine. It's one of your interests, just like people indulge themselves in their pastimes. It's not bad so long as it hasn't taken over your life.

Oh man, that annoys me so much how some people say "anime is for kids", because they only know about Pokemon or something. I still find it really weird that most of the people who say it's for kids are the same people who watch Disney movies(aimed at kids/families) over and over again and fangasm over them. Because if something made for kids is "mainstream", it's suddenly not for kids, yet anime still is just because it's 2D "cartoon" from Japan. Then you're just like... Hello? Family Guy, Futurama, The Simpsons? Those are 2D cartoons and they are NOT for kids. Adult swim shows anime sometimes, obviously because it's not intended for kids.

I do too, but I can understand the anime of Pokemon is definitely more child-oriented, and people just associate it with their childhood when Pokemon was mainstream among not only gamers/anime fans. So they see it as something that's just for kids because it's no longer "mainstream" like newer popular cartoons like Adventure Time.

Just keep some anime hentai bookmarked. When people say anime is for kids, pull it up and show them. Sure they'll judge you and think all you watch is hentai but at least they won't say anime is for kids anymore!

Haha, then they'll just say it's plain creepy. @_@ I just show them some sci-fi, psychological, or thriller anime or something. AOT is probably popular enough that they'd be willing to give it a try, as well as being on TV.

Most anime is more teens on up. They had to cut scenes out of Dragonball Z even, for American viewing. Most of the anime I've seen (over a hundred) have bloody violence and/or sexual themes.
