Stop watching anime!

That's true, even "childrens" anime would have to be censored because of cultural things that are considered gag humor in Japan would be seen as porn in America. Things like a baby's/kid's crotch being exposed for comedy, or boobs accidentally exposed, etc. Which are common in family-oriented kids anime like Shin-chan, which was apparently so bad it had to be on Adult Swim(the English dub added cussing which wasn't in Japanese). I remember watching it as a 5 year old in Japan. Sailor moon had to be censored so much that it just didn't make sense. Originally it had a very LGBT-friendly vibe, but the English dub wanted to cut it all out and switch peoples' genders and whatnot.

Anime is just an art form, the freedom of enjoying it, is up to you. I've had relationships end because of either playing games or enjoying manga and/or anime. Because a person above 25 watching anime/playing videogames supposedly just screams man-child according to them. And these fems could just sit and watch spongebob and laugh at it. I still to this day find spongebob annoying. So trust me that the older you get the harsher the judgement.

Honestly, it often just sounds like a scapegoat people throw out there as an excuse, when they just plain don't understand anime and aren't willing to even try it.

@boundbyluck That is just ridiculous. If someone left me because of that, I would be like hey, maybe we weren't meant to be together after all. That would be like if I left someone because they enjoyed cartoons from the 30's and 40's. Which for some reason fascinate the heck out of me. Spongebob is so overrated lol. Apparently the main characters represent the 7 deadly sins or something like that.

I wouldn't even have gotten with anyone in the first place if they didn't like anime or games. @_@ I wouldn't even be able to be friends probably. At least not close friends. @randyran I'm also really fascinated by old cartoons. XD I remember we used to have these laser-discs of old Disney cartoons, like black and white and old color ones. I loved them, but we no longer have a laser disc player. >.<

Well when it comes to dating, if the lady I end up with doesn't like anime and/or games, maybe I could get her into them. There's always that possibility. Now with close friends on the otherhand.. you must at least like games lol.

Ooh. That blows. At least there's billions of clips on youtube to dig into haha. Not long ago I learned about what the last episode of Tom and Jerry was about and watched some of it...Which was kind of disturbing.

That's true, some people I met who don't like anime simply don't know about it and are actually open to learning about it if you take time to tell them about it. xD It's just those who refuse to try it, I wouldn't be able to get along with probably.
