"Need some space" equal breakup?

If it were just taking a break and being alone I'd say it was just a break, but is she's suggesting seeing other people then I'd say it's a break up. Personally, if someone suggested to me they wanted to see someone else I would split then and there.

Well the situation was that she allowed me too, and her substitution was to focus on her school. Its just to see if we were with each other for the wrong reasons

But, if you fell for the other person, then what? Or would you just be toying with the other person? Either way, it's not indicative of a healthy relationship in my opinion. All you'd be doing is tempting fate. If you want to do it, do it, but don't be surprised when it back fires. It doesn't take dating around to know if you two aren't in it for the "right reasons", whatever that means.

It doesn't matter that she allowed you to see other people too; the point is she suggested seeing other people. It would be even more outrageous if she expected you to stay single/faithful while she slept around! If that happened to me, then nu-uh, nope, not a chance. Time to get out and move on.

Well to me it sounds like she just wants an excuse to go sleeping around with other guys. Personally, I'd dump her, I couldn't handle an 'open' relationship, At least in that way. If your okay with you two sleeping around with others and seeing other people, Then hey all power to you man, But it just seems like you two are begging for a disaster or break up to me. Just my thoughts.

Yep. Girls are just as selfish as boys. A "break" that involves dating other people is the same was going back to casual dating. Period. Let her discover what a good thing she had: let yourself find someone better.

Seems like she wants to call it off. In any case, it doesn't seem like she's taking you seriously (no offense.) I've never heard something like this before...
