Well, if she didn't leave we wouldn't have had such a beautiful moment. what i wanted though was for her and any others who left to return towards endgame as playable characters and then you could choose who would accompany you. I would also have loved a direct sequel to Grandia where Sue was grown up and went on her own adventure, probably with some of Justin and Feena's Kids :D

Still havent played the first Grandia but I did play Grandia 2 if I'm not mistaken. Thats the one with the Geoblade or geosomething main character? Sadly, It was on the sega dreamcast and the CD my friend let me borrow didnt go past a certain point in the story T_T

Well, In my opinion Grandia 1 and Grandia 2 can barely even be compared xD The story in grandia ! is a bit more comedic, joyfull and adventurous. To me, it was like I started out playing adventure, and then along the way the game slowly turned into an actual adventure. It was like a journey from boy to man. I didn't really feel as great an attachment to the Characters of 2 as i did to the ones from 1. Can strongly recommend Grandia1

Only played Grandia on the Dreamcast. Very good RPG. Heard they made some compromises on the Playstation version.

Compromises? in what way? I only played the PS-version, and if the sega-one is actually better i might try to get my hands on a it :D

Don't quite remember. It may just be the backgrounds were compressed more or load times.

Oh, well if the overall experience is the same, then I'll just stick to the one i already have xD

Grandia is probably one of my favorite RPGs.

I vaguely remember it having a pretty automated battle system (which I prefer). Good times.
