Anyone ever think about how much they love anime and wonder "what if i made one?" I have and if your like me you'll realize you suck at art and dont have enough money to do it on your own.. SO here we Otaku's can work together and make one! (Like rooster teeth on youtube "Rwby") WHO IS WITH MEE! *Jumps up cheering.*

Calm down first XD. This idea has already been proposed a few times I think. I don't know if they worked or not, but they're there. Now if you're really determined, I'm in. But you're gonna have to be more specific. Do you want an anime, or manga? Cause they're 2 entirely different things. Do you have an idea of how to make any of the two? Do you have ideas for the story?... etc. Start typing comrade.

Well we started one about a war between gods and humans, the hunans found a way to fight back against the gods who were attacking them...i came up with the idea idk if you want to use it, the other group abandoned the idea for a manga

Thats just basically part of the idea i came up with, i even came up with a begining part...we decided to have different factions devoted to fighting the gods

Well, the problem with a huge manga like that is that it's ... hum... how do I put this? TOO FREAKING HUGE!! Ok, just imagine the time and effort required in order to design and actually draw the mechas, the backgrounds, weapons, people, cats, etc... I mean, be realistic panda-san, no matter how much w love anime, we're just a bunch of amateurs here. But, still, that shouldn't stop I say. We just need to be more down to earth in our expectations. Ok, so here are my thoughs: * First if we consider the size of the whole thing. Since it would be a team work, we want to make something interesting, but not so big that it would take freaking years to make. Think about everyone's situation. If one person decided to bail out, it could put the whole thing in jeopardy. * So, since we want to make something on the sort side, stuff like shonen, mecha blabla are out of the question (just my opinion though, don't hate me). I'd say the best option is something like a one-shot. If the whole thing works well, cool, it can be extended further later on. That or a short story is fine too. * As far the story goes, comedy, romance, or daily life are what I think are the easiest to tackle. They're easy to write and can be adjusted on the fly. Especially daily life, because it doesn't have to follow a clear story line and can be ended whenever is needed. We could also make something bigger like mystery, but that would require more effort from the story department. * Once that's in the clear, the big question: manga or anime? I'll be honest, manga is the obvious answer. Making a video with decent quality involves way more work than initially apparent. Apart from artists, we'd need video editors, musicians and voice actors... Doable, put it's a lot more work... * So, if we were to make a manga, they're is a need for: writers, drawers/cleaners and proofreaders. That's way more manageable. Especially considering that, as a fan project, the art doesn't HAVE to be top notch. Anyway, tell me what you guys have to think about all that.

But I AM DETERMINED! Lets make a Manga first since its easy and while we wait for it to get popular we can save up money to pay for the equipment to make the anime if its good enough

Im not an artist but when it comes to ideas for a story im your guy! :3 i have an idea for an anime, but i think we should agree on a category of genre first

Of course that's a lot. Trust me when I say your not the only one that's been thinking about creating content. Anyway, I've given my thoughts as far as genre goes. I vote for daily life. Could also go for a love story or a comedy. I could manage some drawing for those. Anything action related is far too much for me though.
