What your favorite old school system and games? Old school is probably defined as Dreamcast and below now. Personally, when I was a kid there was always an Atari 2600 in the basement. Played a TON of Atari Adventure.

Shining force, space harrier 2, and sonic 3 and knuckles are my top genesis games. *list is too long* Snes i missed out so i got gba ports of them instead. super mario world, zelda alttp, and final fantasy vi are among my favorites. i also own the nes and about 30 games for it.

Flashback: the quest for identity, xmen 2: the clone wars, shinobi 3, golden axe, phantasy star 4, altered beast, columns, street fighter 2 championship edition, samurai shodown...

Yep. I bought Phantasy Star II when it came out. The dungeons didn't seem cheap at the time. Now they do :p The ending was a head trip :p

Yeah even though Phantasy star 2 was my first entry into the series, the dungeons were screwy. XD 4 is awesome. In one part it actually plays the dungeon theme from phantasy star 1. Wonder why that game was the only one to use 3d dungeons...

I think PS1 was towards the end of the Sega Master Systems life. It was a huge game for the time. All dem frames of animation used for the dungeons were really ground breaking. Phantasy Star II was also something huge.. like, "6 mega". real expensive to buy as a teen. They focused on content as opposed to animation. The graphical tricks you could use on the Genesis differed too.
