Do you consider yourself picky?

Oh yes, I reckon I'm very picky when it comes to women - though if that's for better or for worse I have no idea. If I'm not feeling that attraction then I won't date them, simple as. I'll happily make friends though of course.

I guess you could say I have certain expectations I want to see in any potential gf. Not stuck-up/egotistical, has direction/goals in life and are at least working towards them, makes at least somewhat of an effort to take care of themselves both mentally, fiscally, and physically. "Picky" is a rather subjective term, but I'm of the ilk that it's hard to be in a relationship with someone you're not attracted too. Everyone has different expectations of what they want in a relationship, but I don't think it's unreasonable to have a borderline of minimal expectations either. I want a relationship as much as the next person, but I see little point in settling for someone who doesn't meet those just for the sake of one.

Not really.. I'm just not looking for a relationship atm. I guess being picky to a certain degree is healthy. Obviously you don't want to date some psycho or somebody who you are not attracted to at all but people who are overly picky usually overestimate their own worth. You're no unicorn so stop acting like you're one. It's the reason that marriages and relationships break so easily. People think they deserve oh so very much better.

Zeroblade4201 Im the same way. I'd really like it if my future boyfriend was an otaku and liked video games like I do. Even though I'm not a hardcore player I might become one if I had someone to play with. Similar interests are a must for me.

Having standards is not picky. There is practically no one in my area to date. And when I say no one, I mean it. They are either relatives, taken, religious, have kids, or the age factor just doesn't par up. I hate long distance relationships but the idea gets more appealing every day.
