Travel to Japan

Has anyone taken a trip to Japan before? What region? I'll be going to Nagoya from July 4 through the 14, and I'm super excited!

yea i know Kaji. Ashley have you Checked out HIJ Travels ( or something ) i think it is. they do special pkg group tours. actually designed for Otaku. (relatively) affordable. I'm hoping to hook-up with one. the trips are english or atleast english speaking. they have cultural/anime/ festival and then some. i found them during Anime Xpo. Btw. I'm Japanese, and live in Tokyo. I want to make friends with world Otaku :) If somebody want to trip to Japan, don't hesitate to ask me.

I've been to Japan twice, the first time I went to Tokyo, the second time I was living in Okazaki. Both times were amazing, even though in Okazaki I got really sick and had to come home early.

Visited Japan for my first time last october, 12 days in tokyo, and some of the best fun I ever had. Great food, great people, all in all an amazing trip. Currently saving up to go again next summer. For anyone interested ( who wouldnt be ) the japanese tourist ministry/agency will be giving out 10.000 tickets starting april next year in an effort to boost tourism by having the receivers of said tickets write an essay on their experiences in japan.

hi I'm thinking of going this summer hopefully... but not sure where to go in japan.. anyone got any ideas of gud places to go ;) and places with hot springs would be preferable as I'm fond of them lol

There are so many places to visit, and not nearly enough time to do any of them justice. I could easily spend several weeks just browsing in akihabara ^^

Been there before myself when I was a very young kid. Plan on taking a trip there again, primarily in Akihabara District in Tokyo but also Yokohama as well.
