For people who cosplay

watchfulguardian
I have a quick question: To cosplay, do you have to make your own outfits or can you buy something from someone else? I plan on making my own stuff but I have no idea how to at the moment.

You don't have to make your own outfit. Depending on what it is it might look better if you made it. Mine was Sabo from One Piece, but I'm a chick so I couldn't pull off Sabo as a dude... They had the new costume but the color theme isn't released, and the shape of the clothing is very... manly. So, I had no choice but to make my costume in order for it to be the way I wanted.

I am irrelevant since I live in Japan and people probably won't go to the cons I'll be attending but what the hey How many cosplays do you have? I can no longer count :( whats your favorite cosplay? Esther Blanchett (Because I wont 2 awards with it in one convention HAHAHA) what was your first cosplay? Misao Makimachi(Rurouni Kenshin) What's the most you have spent on a cosplay? 4 straight days(this was back when I was a student and I had lots of time, this is for Fate Testarossa and Esther Blanchette) And I guess what cons are you guys going to and are you cosplaying, and if so as who? Komiket at Tokyo Big Sight, maybe as Shura again from Ao no exorcist.
