How old are you? 27 How many anime have you seen? 28 Would you consider yourself an otaku? No. Would others call you an otaku? No. Every time I try to call myself one they say "NO!" actually. How many anime/manga have you read or watched? 28 roughly. How do you feel about anime and manga? It's a form of media that has varying subject matter that appeals to all age groups and cultures. Because of this it tends to transcend language, cultural, and age boundaries and allows people that enjoy the same things to connect. On a normal weekday what do you do? Work work work, do online classes, finish schoolwork, text friends, work some more. Weekend? Work, make sure assignments were sent in on time, chat, text, go out to drink and spend time with friends. How do you watch anime/read manga? I buy the raw manga from Japanese book stores. Sometimes I buy anime from Book-Off, but usually I watch on the internet. Are you involved with Japanese culture? I studied the language for 5 years, I participate in events in the Buddhist and Japanese community, I also attend a weekly Japanese language and cultural exchange group. I should probably add I am very involved in the visual kei and Jrock scene, but I feel like that is more pop culture or a cultural trend type thing. Do you go to conventions? Of course!

How old are you? 26 How many anime have you seen? Oh no! I didn't realize I was suppose to be keeping track all these years :'( Would you consider yourself an otaku? Well the literal meaning of the term otaku is a person who is obsessed with something to the point of social awkwardness. So am I an anime fan? Of course. Do I consider myself socially awkward? No. Would others call you an otaku? Probably. I watch anime, read manga, play video games, put together Gundam models so in terms of anime fandom, I'm sure some people would call me an otaku. How many anime/manga have you read or watched? What the fu... I was sure I answered this already. I'm sorry, I don't recall. If I had to guess, maybe something like fifty anime and maybe around twenty manga. How do you feel about anime and manga? It reminds me of simpler times and it's a breath of fresh air from harsh realities. It's nice to put down all the work and bills for a little bit, put on some anime or open a manga and catch up with your friends. And like missallyesterday said, it makes me feel closer to people in other parts of the world who enjoy it like I do. On a normal weekday what do you do? Work. Weekend? WORK. How do you watch anime/read manga? Typically I watch anime on my computer and I usually order manga from my local bookstore. Are you involved with japanese culture? One of the only things I watch as much as (sometimes maybe more than) anime are Japanese game shows and comedy. I've studied much of the customs, behavior and etiquette and also study the Japanese language. And of coure, I love my Japanese cuisine. Do you go to conventions? Actually no. I'd like to though. I always miss the ones in my area and only have one buddy that likes anime enough to tag along. Help guys! Take me to a con! Take me to a con!
