Fantasy vs. Reality

I just wanted to see if anyone has ever been lectured about reality. I'm often told cliche things like: "Get your head out the clouds.”It's a topic I just want some opinions on. So, what do you guys think?

Dreams are made into reality. When mankind first said that they dreamed of flying and making it possible, people laughed and mocked those dreamers. From Leonardo DaVinci to the Wright Brothers. They made their dreams a reality. What I am trying to say is anything can be possible if you're willing to work for it harder than anyone else. I am confused about what you're trying to get at, but I hope what I say helps. I say keep your head in the clouds. That's where ideas are born. And when there are ideas there are advancements. An idea can not die. I never been lectured about reality. Not that I can remember. If you mean fantasy as in just day dreaming about impossibilities such as generating a laser beam out of your palm then I say keep on dreaming. Then again I say it can be possible to create an awesome technological glove that shoots a friggin' awesome laser beam. Haha sorry if I'm off the subject.

Well, it's really a matter of perspective. The world is, at the same time, a wonderful and horrible place depending on several factors. True, you need to be realistic and pragmatic and all that, but I'm generally optimistic; an idealist. You have to keep in mind what is within the realm of possibility, but don't let that stifle you too much. At least that's how I feel about it.

With with nii_chan except I more or less pertain to being a realist. I love to dream about how things would be if I had this or that, but if I look at how I can make it possible myself it just kind of dwindles down on my determination to make it happen. I think if you've got the passion to really put fourth the effort to make something 'happen', like lets say you want to go pro in some sort of athleticism, be a game designer to make your "world" come to life or become a renown face on youtube it is possible. It's within' the realm of possibility - but to the length at which the numbers sway in your favor decides on YOU and just how much effort YOU are willing to put in to make it happen. There's nothing wrong with dreaming; however if you expect it to happen without lifting a finger well.. as I've said before. That's my take on the matter :p

Thank goodness. So I was right. People always tell me just dreams and hardworking is not enough. Clearly they were wrong. Thanks!
