Do "looks" matter to you?

What's important to remember though is people are attracted to different types of people. Generally look in a fashion magazine in your region of the world and you'll see the mainstream view, but everyone's different, and I still stand by the point that you're better off developing your personality than spending a lot of money on makeup and whatnot.

I also agree with nii_chan112. You have to be attracted to someone to make it a relationship, but their personality either makes or breaks it. And like she said, each person finds something else attractive. I think my boyfriend is freaking hot but I have a friend who doesn't find him attractive at all. I'm not attracted to the guys she finds hot either. It all depends on the individual.

Looks are important as an attention-grabber but the what makes someone stick around is a good personality. Course, there's more to it than that but that's a more strenuous explanation in terms of length.

looks can be deceiving my friends. I am the kind of guy who is really quite and doesnt talk too loudly, most people dont even notice how hot blooded I am from the inside. I ger hyped over every cool thing so much that I could punch justin bieber. Except I could always punch justin bieber. I hate that little rat. Also I hate one direction. No..thats too hard. I dont hate them. I just dont like the fact that those mediocre singing teens who cant even play a single instrument, get so fricken popular. I just dont get it. Oh no I got carried away again... Well I guess I'm pretty handsome to some extend. Like.. Have you ever looked at a bunch of fishes in an aquarium and noticed one of them is more beautiful than all the others ? I am the fish who is the next most beautiful to that one. But My inner beauty surpasses my beautiful long hair by faaaaaaaaarrrrr harrrrrrr arrrghhh mhmmm fish-soup ..delicious

I'm not going to lie, if someone is downright ugly, yeah, it's going to matter to me. There is a certain (low) level that I care about, but there's not much below that. And personal hygiene as well. I have a friend that really wants to go out with me, to the point one of her friends was begging me to. I tried once, but she smells. So that is a no-go.

No matter what is said, looks always matter and is one of the most important things when first meeting. What level differs from each and every person, but don't expect it to be the same with everyone. When people say they don't care about looks, it's a nice way of saying there's a certain range from their standards that they must fall in to get attention from them. Everyone has "looks" but only a few have "specifics" on what they want and not want in someone they would consider someone asking them out. That's when the physical trial and error plan is put into action (aka asking someone out on a date.) I say looks are the very first importance that will make or break, so yeah they matter alot, but unless the person you want to ask out is that shallow it's pretty much a wide range from their ideal person, as long as they got a few things right. With me personally, as long as you do care about looks health-wise then that's the first hurdle.

I care to a certain extent. Like, if someone is extremely obese, then I'm turned off. obviously they eat more than they should. they are some girls that i believe look better with a particular belly than if they didn't. also if someone looks like a slut then the answer is always no, unless i get to know them and they're really, REALLY nice
