My current most basic understanding would be. Love is the return of Desire. We desire to watch anime, We watch anime are desire is filled. But anime of its own free will can not return its desire to be viewed. Thou we can tell ourselves we feel such a thing and love anime. We desire a person, being with said person our desire is filled. If said person returns the same desires of us (for as long as it lasts). We call it love. Love that is eternal and ever lasting? -that may as well be a different subject. But I dream of it.
