Ahoy, I'm alive. My mother is okay. She's home and feeling back to normal now. They were able to clear the obstruction without surgery. Sadly, now I'm sick as hell. My bestie wanted me to drive her around on her holiday, so I got to go. It was nice, though because of riptides, we didn't get to do more than wading around. I had a pint of a ginger cider for the first time in probably a few years. The deer were just outside our window in the hotel. Though it was 80% driving for me, it was still nice to get away from the wildfire smoke and cigarette haze.

My original work Dhogrim's Gaze is a fantasy action romance that follows a king on his journey for redemption following a centuries long war with a neighboring kingdom.

So, we got LUCKY! A family-owned car sales place took us in and got us financing through a Cali based loan company. The interest is like 15% but the payments are only $250 a month. They even took the $800 and put it toward the principle like I asked. So we have a car. Now it's just up to how much more insurance is going to cost for a newer car. x.x Hopefully it's not too much. My income is too low for an auto loan. My sister doesn't have a ride home from work(she works 15miles away!) And the bus doesn't go out that way. My little brother doesn't have a ride home either. We're really, really out of options. If I have a good enough downpayment, maybe a lender will still risk me.
