Honestly, that would've been perfect.

The "somehow" of this makes me wish I had introduced myself like this:

An unfriendly reminder that unless you've introduced yourself to me somehow, I will not accept friend requests. Thanks.
criselington
Criselington @criselington Jokes on you, you and I are already friends on here.

yuuzora @yuuzora We did talk before I added you, too. So any form of interaction is fine. The bar is pretty low. Even just liking a comment or picture is fine by me though I prefer people read my profile first so they know what they're getting into. Which is trouble. >)

It's time for painting with Peter! In this super fast, ultra rushed new episode we show you how less is absolutely more and with a few quick brush strokes you can imply detail without actually adding detail. In all seriousness this was done too quickly to be semi-realistic. I just didn't have the time this late in the day to be as thorough as this should have been, but the same principles apply. Without drawing every single strand of hair you can still imply each strand with well placed strokes.

In general, though I prefer semi-realism. I fell into bad habits painting each strand by hand. Now that I am faced with a character with hair as long as her ankles I regret being such a lazy potato. So anything to streamline my process will be helpful. I have been working on other projects all day, so I haven't had time to look up tutorials for Krita. x.x
twobananasshyofapumpkinpie
Yuuzora, are you looking for a faster way to do semi-realistic hair or looking for a faster way in general to do hair (regardless of realism)?

I have been very curious about some social experiments, so I made a quiz that's like my own. You can take it and share it if you want to. Let me know if you have questions or suggestions. https://www.quotev.com/quiz/16464672/Are-You-Who-Im-Looking-For

Random Thoughts No One Should Read. I just have to write it out so I can get it out of my head. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today I learned I have Fearful-Avoidant / Disorganized attachment disorder. It makes sense why I'm so averse to 'getting to know' people. I just don't trust them to understand me. Not that anyone really understands me as I am now. I've been through too much and it'd just be nice to have someone fundamentally empathize(as opposed to sympathize) with those experiences. Sadly, people that go through these sorts of trauma often end up developing narcissistic traits that often lead to abusive behaviors. I almost went to that end, too, but I was lucky to have just enough self-awareness to see that's where my relationship was heading. Even if I couldn't stand that giant man baby, I didn't want that for him, so I broke it off before it got too far.... and that's where I am now. Letting people close has really only caused me trouble. So I avoid it. So that's why it's so hard to form bonds. I feel perpetually not understood and a fear of being hurt again. So now that I understand the problem... what the hell is the solution? I know better than to let people close to me. They just don't understand. It's no fault of theirs of course, but it still feels... isolating... I almost feel like it's a twisted superiority complex on my part because I've been through so much that would break too many others. Of course, that's dumb as shit and a narcissistic behavior. Luckily I'm normal when it comes to narcissistic behaviors, but I still like to keep it all in check. And I still don't have an answer. How do you let people close who are normal? They don't care what you've gone through and they'll never understand it... oof... it hurts say that out loud... so I really don't feel understood. I wonder if I'll know my person by the way they make me feel understood?

I've been hoping to get a little group to New York sometime next year. Not quite Cali or Texas. We haven't decided on a con or exact place yet, though. One other person here was going to join. So it's up to you if you want to also. Do you have anyone traveling with you or are you flying solo?
tatsuro1987
I’m planning on traveling to America maybe California or Texas. Actually anywhere if you want are interring meeting me. I’ve been to America 4times and I traveled to GA last month, so I’m totally fine with traveling to America. I haven’t used this website but I’m just back. I don’t really expect anyone reacts this post but yea I just wanted to try this. If you just want to chat with me that is also fine. Anyway hope everyone is doing well. Thanks.

Yes. What sort of thing did you want? I have 3 spaces still.
twobananasshyofapumpkinpie
Would you be able to redraw something but in your style?

Digital. At the moment I need the exposures, so free art tends to do that. I originally had 30 spaces and now I have 5, so it's working as intended so far.
twobananasshyofapumpkinpie
I can't tell if that's traditional or digital. It looks good all the same. Why free commissions?
twobananasshyofapumpkinpie
TwoShy @twobananasshyofapumpkinpie How long have you been a commission artist? Do you have a commission contract? Those questions aside, tumblr and fb anime groups are good places to get repeat customers. Even now there are people on the look out for the next Rebecca Sugar on Tumblr. If you're looking to branch into the industry sooner than later, I suggest joining digimon groups on FB. Bandai like working with the public and often reach out through Digimon groups. If you PM me I can send you to another artist with more favorable ties to Bandai...she worked with them more than I did.
yuuzora
yuuzora @yuuzora Hm. I have only just started taking commissions, though my main focus is on getting to a point of selling physical products. I have a print-on-demand service all ready. I just need to hoist a website so I can start selling. Sadly ecommerce is usually not free. But either way, that way I can sell at cons and things of that sort. I haven't started a tumblr. So maybe paid commissions for a while would work. I'll get some Digimon art soon as I get these commissions done. I'm also working on a manga/light novel. I've got a lot of work to do. lolol. x.x
twobananasshyofapumpkinpie
TwoShy @twobananasshyofapumpkinpie Before you make your first sale you'll want to look into commission contracts. They become important sooner than one might expect...even for this free stuff. As an example, if I asked you to create a generic warrior character based on a basic description, who would own the rights to that character or to what degree? Could I post pictures of it elsewhere? Could I modify it and post it as my own work or does it become a joint piece? Can I display it as a banner or background on my Youtube/Twitch channel? I could go on and on for days. Anyway, good luck and if you have any questions about the business end of art feel free to hmu. I used to do this for a living before the pandemic.
yuuzora
yuuzora @yuuzora Oh yes. The beloved red tape of arts. Especially already licensed work like Shingeki no Kyojin. Getting ahold of who actually owns those rights is a real headache. I've got basic contracts for paid stuff, never really bothered with the free but I guess I'll utilize it to make sure no one tries to bite me arse later. I appreciate the advice. I miss stuff, so it's good to have another person point things out.
