Ehhh, in a way I actually kinda like things this way to be 100% honest. I enjoy my friends but I also like my alone time, there's definitely been points where I was hanging out my friends and I guess I just hit one of those moments where my "social batteries" just ended up completely drained and after that I kinda go back into mountain hermit mode for a while. :u

Yeah I definitely feel you there. I have a group of irl friends and since they're all basically married and stuff we don't really get many opportunities to hang out. And then to make things worse I work evenings so yeah. xD

Yeah, people are pretty cool here. It's the main reason why I stuck around really for so long. That and because I work from home so I kinda have my PC literally right next to my work stuff and I've developed a habit of lurking this site to kill time. :U

Don't have much experience with pure romance. But the film Your Name is something that has been on my radar, and is very popular.
Are romcoms okay? I have a bit more experience with those.
On that front: Oh! Edo Rocket, My Bride is a Mermaid, Baka + Test, and School Rumble are my personal top picks.
The film Wolf Children has some romance elements, and is super touching all in all (be ready for feels), but overall its more of a movie about family. Very good though.
On the mystery side of things, Monster is up there for me. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood also has lots of mystery and intrigue elements and plot points to it.
Durarara might interest you as its sort of a variety bag anime. But it has both some romance and mystery plots/elements.
