Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Very interesting. I wonder how many other people also went to go to Israel as well knowing that they are Jewish.
Lishifu @hakutaku Would you go to Israel or visit Israel if possible? It reminded me of the world travel idea you told me some time ago~China, Israel, Iraq, Egypt ~
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper I might go at some point... But that would be the last on my list.
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Would you come with me if I asked?
Lishifu @hakutaku Yes, I would come with you. Why would Israel be the last destination?
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper I am afraid to go there. Since the Middle East is in conflict and since I am a Christian Oriented Jew, I do not think I would be welcome. Thank you. I would feel more comfortable having someone I can trust come with me as opposed to going by myself.
Lishifu @hakutaku Hah I don't think I would be welcome as well :d, I'm a irreligious Chinese woman~Israel must be safer than other regions of the Middle East.
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Still, I am sure you would at least appreciate the historical sites. And you would be with me so I am sure people would leave you alone. I suppose I would have to wear a yamaka on my head to ensure that. I used to wear them when I was younger.
Lishifu @hakutaku Is it okay for a Christian to wear a yamaka? Yeah, I love the historical sites.
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Most Jews would be offended by that. I am still Jewish though so they wouldn't be annoyed by that. Though from what I have read it seems more like a misunderstanding as to why they wear them in the first place.

Ghost @kuharido I'm still at number one XD
Lishifu @hakutaku Really? I thought you were just spiritual:)
Ghost @kuharido It's complex, I keep it to myself mostly.
Lishifu @hakutaku Is the belief from your family?
Ghost @kuharido No, from various sources.
Ghost @kuharido My family is mostly atheist.
Lishifu @hakutaku Souka.I am at No.3 now.
Ghost @kuharido Was your family religious?
Lishifu @hakutaku They are like ordinary Chinese, never practice any specific religions; however they believe what I Ching fortunate-tellers say :).
Ghost @kuharido That seems to be very common.
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Ah I did not see this until now XD
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper I am also at number 1! I find that interesting ghost.
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Although while I am at number 1 my mind also seems to fight against 3 and 4 on a regular basis. Thus my mind thinks that everything seems meaningless despite being full of meaning, which creates quite the contradiction that my mind embraces.
☠BΣΉΣЯIƬ✴ @beherit I'm not even on this thing at all...
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper I think that is more interesting!
Lishifu @hakutaku Beherit, what is yours like?
☠BΣΉΣЯIƬ✴ @beherit The gods are real, life has meaning, but only if you find it yourself...
Lishifu @hakutaku The meaning of one person's life isn't predestinated, the higher beings exist, but they let human beings find or create the meaning ?
☠BΣΉΣЯIƬ✴ @beherit In my view, yes...
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper That is similar to a Deist perspective.
☠BΣΉΣЯIƬ✴ @beherit I'm aware. I am religiously pagan, but my views are comparable to George Washington's when it comes to gods and religion.
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Oh so you are pagan? What kind of pagan if I may ask? I had a few Wicca friends in the past.
☠BΣΉΣЯIƬ✴ @beherit Rodnovera reconsturctionist. (Slavic Paganism)
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Interesting, I am not too familiar with it. I suppose I shall read up on it.
☠BΣΉΣЯIƬ✴ @beherit Yes, it's very esoteric stuff... I also have a couple of books on the Occult.
Lishifu @hakutaku I'm unfamiliar with it too, I was checking if I have collected random books about it :D. I myself do hope higher beings don't care about the secular world and human society if they exist~
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Judaism also has its own strange sect that is similar to Occult things. It is called Kabbalah. That is where the idea of golems came from.
☠BΣΉΣЯIƬ✴ @beherit Yes, I'm familiar with it. It's also where the popular depiction Tree of Life comes from...
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Yes quite true. I have always wondered where that ideology came from since I find it almost out of place with regular Judaism, but nevertheless it is still quite fascinating to learn more about it and its origins.
Lishifu @hakutaku Because assumptions and speculations can be added to history that is recorded in books :D
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Exactly! Regardless it is still fun to read about it and try to figure out what could be the true course of events :)
☠BΣΉΣЯIƬ✴ @beherit Most of the major religions were shaped by religions that surrounded and preceded them and finding the common roots always fascinated me...
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper I was always under the impression that they all originated from one religion and then spread apart and changed into several different religions while still maintaining certain similar roots. But of course that is open to speculation as we are unable to ask the people who were alive back then.
Lishifu @hakutaku Finding the common roots of major religions from more ancient beliefs/tales/legends fascinated me as well :D. Also Daoism(religion) actually learned a lot from Buddhism hah.
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper And there is also a connection from Buddhism to Hinduism since Buddha is also revered in Hinduism. Very interesting stuff
☠BΣΉΣЯIƬ✴ @beherit Both originated in India, so it makes sense...
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Right, examples like that are reasons why I would still think it all originated at one source. Ideas always start as one idea and then others take that idea and create new ideas from it and thus create many branches that all originated from the same idea.
Ghost @kuharido Most of my religious beliefs come from Zen, Paramahansa Yogananda, and Abrahamic religions. I've read about other stuff too like from antiquity.
Lishifu @hakutaku Śākyamuni is respected by Hinduists as one reincarnation of Vishnu's~Aryans’ original belief + some elements from local people's belief hah
Lishifu @hakutaku Some Daoists said Laotzu travelled to India and inspired Śākyamuni :d( Nobody know LaoTzu's whereabout after he left Tao Te Ching to his friend). Some Daoists were not quite confident in the influence of their own religion hah.

i wanna live in north cali where it's cold all the time and just wear baggy sweaters
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper I have a friend from there. They loved it. I have family in south Cali and I guess they don't like the heat too much either haha. I am in a fairly cold place myself now. Although I can't enjoy it because my body has a bad sense of humor.

yea i want to move someplace quiet but then i'd be missing out on tj's.
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper I know the feeling. I like where I am now, it is quite quiet compared to where I was in NYC but darn it I am surround by too many eateries and not enough Trader Joe's.
