I streamed a few years back on Twitch and managed a couple thousand followers. (This was back before affiliates were a thing) Life ended up taking over eventually though, and I couldn't afford to keep streaming (since I only streamed for fun, and because people requested me to.) Eventually I ended up stopping completely. Don't play nearly as much as I used to either.

I've lived in San Antonio before, and I'm a huge D&D player. Unfortunately those were separate incidents, and I can't help you get connected directly, but the Local Game Shop advice really is the best one. That's definitely how I got my start.
