(other side note: I really liked Aoba's casual wear. When the AD said "You're cute even when you dress like a slob" I'm here thinking... "HEY WAIT I DRESS THAT WAY!!!" #LAUGHTRACK) (yeah)

Finally saw New Game episode 5. WOW I totally knew they'd go for a butt-rub!!! (which is weird since my wallet's in my front pocket...) Overall FANTASTIC EPISODE/character piece! It wasn't even implied that the AD was super-shy/reserved in her youth; you just assume she's always been bright and outgoing. I feel like most anime (moe/slice-of-life at least) keep things simple, such as air-head is/was always an air-head, super-shy chara is/was always super-shy, genki is/was always genki, but for such a talkative, outgoing, person to actually be ULTRA SHY, NERVOUS, RESERVED IN HER YOUTH and having to change in order to lead her unit... such character development!! Now I'm curious what other backstories they'll delve into (I'm kinda interested in hedgehog-animal-abuse girl, tee hee~ （っ＾ω＾ｃ）~ Since I'm on a rant: it's one of the main reasons I can't stand most mainstream anime (SAO, Re:Zero, etc. And in Re:Zero's case I know it gets better from multiple sources, but the first 3 episodes were an absolute bore fest!! I kept thinking "What makes this character interesting?! He's literally a blank-slate that little boys imagine themselves being and think "OH COOL I GOT SUPER PAWURRSS!!!" But honestly, is there any reason we care about the main chara in the first three episodes??? So he gets transported to some RPG world WOO HOOoOOoO WHO CARES?!?!?" (felt the same way towards Tokyo Ghoul's protagonist, actually) (honestly I just can't stand anime filled with teenage angst and edge-cringe, UGH!!!) (same goes for Madoka Magica, now that I think about it...) ... Also caught episode 6. ANOTHER GREAT EPISODE but more of a funsie one (still enjoyable tho). It's weird, and I know I'm a total perv and don't want to admit it... but... there's a difference between fanservice from a bunch of underage characters you don't really care about (Yoko from Gurren Lagann #LAUGHTRACK) and fanservice from a character you actually relate to... in short, OHHHHHHHHHHHHH MAN I TOOK MULTIPLE SCREENSHOTS DURING THAT SUBTLE CLEAVAGE SHADOW DRESS SCENE THANK YOU NEW GAME FOR BLESSING US WITH THESE 18 YEAR OLD LOLIS-ERRR, I MEAN!!! ✌（´◓ω◔｀）✌ ("NO SHY STOP THAT!!! YOU STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!!!") okay #WOMP Yeah... felt nice winding down with anime. Was having a bit of a rough week (OH side note that "you're just making excuses!" scene hit hard! but it hit good! Gotta keep myself in check, too *nod nod*) Other side note: that moment in ep5 where they talked about "calculated cuteness"...wow... I had no idea the Japanese were aware of that??! So it's not just us who find that creepy? Or maybe it's just men who can't see thru it?! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
