Hey, pretty new to this but here goes:
I'm a Shy (yeah) Otaku living in northern New Jersey. Male, Straight, Hispanic, but also very shy!! Making friends is kinda difficult so I thought this would be the next logical step. I hope to one day break out of my shell and feel comfortable amongst other human beings. Did I mention how shy I was?! I hope to make friends and one day attend an anime convention. That's an important goal for me: to feel comfortable in my own skin.
A bit more about myself: I love drawing! In fact I'd like to create a graphic novel/manga some day. I also like animating (I have a BFA in computer animation) (hasn't really helped but--#LAUGHTRACK) so it's also a dream of mine to make a short-form anime series. Pretty big dreams but that's what I'm aiming for.
As much as I like anime, I do like other things, such as... okay fine I like anime (#WOMP) but occasionally I'll watch regular programing like Downton Abbey (final season is finally on Amazon Prime video) (YEAH, I KNOW, it's the only thing I have! No Hulu/Netflix cause I don't have any friends to share with me) (also cause no money #WOMP) aannnnnd what else... Project Runway, some comedy, etc, things that catch my interest. I'd like to watch more Japanese dramas to further my Japanese studies. I guess that's another major goal of mine: learn Japanese. Still stuck on hiragana/katakana but I'm getting there... Having a local Japanese-learning buddy would be nice, too.
